A Laser High-Speed Dome Camera is an intelligent security surveillance device that integrates a high-precision PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) mechanism (capable of continuous 360° horizontal rotation and wide-angle vertical tilt), a high-definition camera, and a laser-based night vision illuminator.
The key difference lies in the night vision technology:
Standard IR High-Speed Dome Camera: Uses LED infrared lights for illumination. This method has limited illumination distance (typically several tens of meters). Brightness attenuates significantly over distance, often resulting in overexposed (washed-out) images, increased noise, and loss of detail.
Laser High-Speed Dome Camera: Employs a laser generator for active illumination. Laser light boasts high brightness, excellent directionality, strong penetration power, and slow attenuation. This enables ultra-long-distance (e.g., 500 meters, 1000 meters, or even farther) clear night vision with richer image detail, significantly expanding the effective monitoring range. Additionally, laser illumination is generally more energy-efficient and offers a longer lifespan.
