What interfaces can be customized for the payload?
The pan-tilt unit supports a variety of customizable pass-through interfaces for top-mounted payloads, including high-frequency RF N-type connectors, Gigabit Ethernet, fiber-optic communication, RS422/RS485/RS232, and high-power supply connections rated for currents from over 10 A to several tens of amperes.
What is the maximum supported tilt range?
The maximum tilt range is ±90°. However, payload capacity decreases as the tilt range increases.
How does the installation method affect payload capacity?
Fixed installation does not affect the unit’s payload capacity. For vehicle-mounted or shipboard installations, payload capacity is reduced by half. In certain applications, a holding brake is also required to improve reliability.
What communication interfaces are available for motion control?
RS422, RS485, or Ethernet can be selected for motion control.
What is the difference between open-loop and closed-loop control systems?
An open-loop pan-tilt unit has no internal encoder, so the system cannot detect missed motor steps during movement. A closed-loop unit has a built-in encoder that monitors motor operation in real time, providing greater stability.
